Yat Soke Mission

Written by Super User. Posted in Our Mission

On that rock I will build my Church. The gates of hell shall not prevail. His name is U Than Kywe and also called U Gin Suan Mung in Chin. His parents are U Cin Do and Daw Cin Za Nial. From his childhood, he had been a nominal Christian. He was born in Nahnuai village, Kalay, Sagaing Division. He joined the military force in 1983. He met his wife and married her in 1996. He has a son and twin daughters. His wife is a medical staff, a nurse aid serving in the health department in Yat Saut.

In 1997, he had a life changing experience. He received a clear calling from God for the ministry and he started to pray for it. But, at that time he was still serving in the military. It was difficult even to go to the Church, let alone ministering. During in that situation, he prayed, read the bible and had fellowship with other believers. He prayed for the strength to throw himself into the ministry completely. One day God spoke to him while he was praying. Then, he started to pray to be able to do as Peter left the nets and followed Jesus that is to leave the military.

During that same year, he had to go to the hospital for some treatment. In 1999, he got his medical certificate and retired from the military due to health problem. He attended the FGBTC in 2000. When he finished the school in 2001, he was chosen to be sent out as missionary to his home town. He started the Yat Saut Church in 13 March, 2001 with his family.

Starting from 2002, FGA Yangon has been sending ministers to work with him: Naw Din (2002-2003), Soe Moe Naing (2005-2006), Zaw Ko Aung (2007-2009), Zaw Goon (2009-2010), Joshua (2009-2011) and Go Sian Sang (2013-2014). They have been doing a lot of ministry works together such as sharing the Gospel, healing the sick, training, Home Cells and Home Visits.

In the same way, the evangelism team from FGA Yangon, Bible School Students and other ministers usually go to Yat Saut Mission to share the Gospel and to conduct revival conferences. Yat Saut ministry has seen the mighty hand of God for 14 years from 2001 to 2014. On June 6, 2008, U Than Kywe was hospitalized and had an operation due to stomach problem. It was so serious that he was moved from Yat Saut to Taung Gyi hospital and had seven bottles of blood transfusion. But God healed him completely. Yat Saut Ministry is surely supported by God. Now Yat Suat ministry have fifteen people baptized in the water, fifteen people become Church members, one marriage, one child dedication and the Church has a motorcycle.

The prayer requests are as follows: As we committed to minister, we faced a lot of difficulties and challenges. It is very important that we are healthy and fit physically, mentally and spiritually.
1) A Church has to be filled with the presence of God.
2) It is very important for our Church members living in far places to grow in the spirit. That’s what we’ve also been praying for.
3) Pray for us to have a Church building on our own land.
